How a Wicklow woman’s love for Irish language has led to new ‘Gaelteacht in the Galltacht’
A hint of mischief, and a little guessing game. Prior to interviewing her, I exchanged texts with Caoimhe Ní Shúilleabhán, setting up time and place for our rendezvous. Her final text concluded with the letters GRMA. After some head-scratching and brow-furrowing, I worked it out – Go Raibh Maith Agat. There it was, obvious, a phrase familiar to anyone who has passed through the Irish school system – thanks, or GRMA.
